Director's Notes
October is almost half gone and I can not imagine where the time goes so quickly. In some ways it seems like just yesterday we were getting cups, pencils, water, brochures and the display board to the Activities Fair ... but then, Variety Show week itself seemed like it was a month long! Time is so fickle!

So far we have added 4 Sopranos, 1 Alto, 1 Tenor and 2 Basses this year (and I believe some of these are going to be great leaders for us in the future!). This is great, but we could use more - pray for a Harvest of Jubilate Singers!!

Variety Show was fun and long and exhausting and exhilarating and ... all that it always is, and more! Someone donated all the food for the Friday night (desserts) and Sunday noon (baked potato bar and salad bar) performances, so we made over $1200. With some monies still out, we anticipate making around $1400.

We will be singing on Sunday, October 30, in the morning worship services at UBC during Parent Weekend. If any of you are in town, come share in worship with us and sing "Beautiful Savior" with us as the Choral Benediction at the close of the service! Our Lessons and Carols programs are on Sunday night, December 4 at UBC (5:00pm) and Tuesday, December 6 at the UVA Chapel (6:00pm).

After Christmas break. classes begin on Wednesday, January 18, and our Winter Retreat is January 27-29 at Vinton Baptist Church, Vinton, Virginia.

The group really appreciates your support financially, and I believe it makes a difference in our recruiting.

I especially appreciate your prayers for our members. We are growing as a family, and always striving to be the same Christ centered organization that you remember. Your prayers will really go a long way to maintaining that aspect of Jubilate.

Jubo Love to all!!

Hello Jubilate Alumni!

We have a had a busy school year in Jubilate thus far. We recently put on the Fall Variety Show, with a theme of Disney, and it turned out to be a great success! For those alumni that were able to come, we thank you for your support. For those that couldn't make it, don't worry! It was recorded and will, eventually, be put on YouTube.

Although we have had some setbacks this past year with the numbers of our members declining, I am glad to say that we have found several new members this semester, including 4 ladies (3 sopranos and an alto) and 3 men for our tenor and bass sections. With these new

members, we are all working hard to make sure that this year's Lessons and Carols will be one of the best that the choir has ever performed.

Other plans for the fall semester include a possible pancake dinner and concert at other churches to reach out the community, singing during family weekend, and other fellowship and bonding moments.

Thanks again for all of the prayer and support!
