Welcome!

Jubilate, a Christian choir for students of the University of Virginia, is a student music ministry sponsored by University Baptist Church.  Jubilate is registered with the University as a contracted independent organization (CIO).  The purpose of the group is threefold:

  • to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ through music
  • to foster a sense of Christian fellowship among its members
  • to provide an environment conducive to the development of musical skills

Throughout its 35 year history, Jubilate has gladly opened its doors to Christians of all denominations and affirmed the great diversity of Christian faith.  The group actively seeks to be accepting of all members and prides itself on the strong friendships that form among it members.

Although this organization has members who are University of Virginia students and may have University employees associated or engaged in its activities and affairs, the organization is not a part of or an agency of the University.
It is a separate and independent organization which is responsible for and manages its own activities and affairs.
The University does not direct, supervise or control the organization and is not responsible for the organization's contracts, acts or omissions.
